6" CLASSIC MOC ICON STYLE NO.875

IRON RANGER MODERN STYLE NO.8085
Iron Ranger is the name of the Mining District of iron ore located in the northern part of Minnesota, United States, where Red Wing is located. Many of the miners who once worked here wore "capdoto" boots with a single leather on their toes to protect their toes, so they named the capdoto boots Iron Ranger Boots. [\n][\n] This "capdoto" was a widely adopted design for work boots in the early 20th century, and when you look at the Red Wing catalog (1910), 33 of the 37-inch work boots listed were designed for the capdoto. With the passage of time, steel toe, which is the standard specification for safety shoes, became popular, and the number of boots for cap toe protection and reinforcement were reduced, but some steel toe boots kept the design of cap toe protection and reinforcement until the 1990s. Iron Ranger is a refining of the design of the cap doto that has been passed down today.

The last (wood type) is the eighth last widely used in the red wing round-to boots. It has a relaxed design like a work boots, and has a reputation for ease of wearing. The sole uses the Vibram #430 mini lag sole which has excellent grip strength.
